The questions you should be ready to answer

So you are interviewing for a UX designer position? You have you’re resume. You’ve put together an amazing portfolio that represents your unique talents. You realize you have to effectively communicate your talents (or better yet, wow! in your interview) to successfully land the job. The only problem? You have never interviewed for a UX designer position.

So what will they ask a potential UX designer in an interview? We’ve got you covered! Here are some questions to anticipate as a UX designer candidate.

1. What is one problem that you have solved for a user that is invisible but enhanced the user experience?
2. How do you capture the product vision and display it in a tangible way on the screen?
3. What do you see as the UX designer’s role? Be specific indicating points of exchange of work.
4. What are the biggest factors you consider when designing for different types of users?

Keep in mind that there is no perfect interview answer. There is only the best answer for you that will land a job RIGHT FOR YOU. Matching your unique skills to the gap in skills an open position is trying to fill is the best way to demonstrate your ability to add value.
