but how can tech help you? I mean you weren’t good in math. You don’t breathe code. What does tech have to do with YOU!

In tech, flexibility is inherent in the industry so it can be a great way to transition back to work. There are many part-time, flex-time and remote opportunities so there is likely to be a tech job that works for you and your family. Not to mention tech pay well. I think it’s important as women and moms to hold ourselves to a high pay standard. How do you get into tech no prior experience and very little knowledge? You practice it! That’s right, you learn the skills, demonstrate them and then iterate on them to make them portfolio-ready. They you go start applying! That’s the way tech works. It’s different than the way were raised with school and teachers and homework, but that’s how tech works. You really don’t need permission. You just start doing the work, prove you can do and then ask to get paid for that skill. I’m so glad you’re here! You are techY!
